A Tiny little Creche with a GREAT BIG HEART, The Come To Learn Community Creche operates out of Kurland Village. It provides a protective caring environment for the little tots whilst parents go out to work. Basic colouring in materials and educational toys are their prime need with some warm clothes for winter coming in handy too.

Every child should get a present at Christmas

and we achieved this for the Come To Learn Community Creche this year

This year we made a pledge that each child at the Come To Learn Community Creche would go home with a Christmas Present.  We initiated a project in August to raise money to buy presents and provide a little party for the children. The children were asked to put together a Christmas Card with their names and pictures of presents they would like to receive.  We displayed these delightful works of art at Tenikwa. Guests who visited us donated generously, and with assistance of Liebeth Van den Hof who sent us some beautiful second-hand toys from Netherlands, we managed to raise enough money with a little top up from Tenikwa to buy each of the 35 children a present and some party refreshments. On 12 December, some of our staff joined the children and workers from the Come To Learn Community Creche for a Christmas Party, and the children spent a good few hours of fun. Each child received a gift-wrapped present to take home and put under the Christmas Tree. Enjoy the pictures from the party which was held on 12 December.

Bring a gift with you

If you have a little space in your luggage, the creche needs gently worn clothes, kiddies socks and dry soup . Simply drop off at Tenikwa and we will make sure that the children receive your donations.
