This 1 night Family Adventure is filled with activities for the whole family and is a unique eco-experience incorporating nature activities on the property and with the Tenikwa staff, and comfortable accommodation in family suites.

Before dinner, go on an exciting forest expedition to learn what wonders the forest holds.
Dinner tonight (weather permitting) is a traditional Boma Dinner. Don’t expect to be served, dinner making is a combined family effort. Learn how to make Stokbrood, Sosaties and delicious sweet treats on the coals of the fire.
After dinner and enjoying the stars, retire to your family suite which is comfortably furnished to 3-star standards.
Before breakfast, make sure to check out of your room. Breakfast in the morning is at Chesters Coffee Shop, afterwhich you will be met by your guide for the day to take you on an Eco-kidz Family Challenge. During the course of this program, we introduce core elements of conservation using our EcoKidz booklet which has all sorts of quizzes and questions to answer. A Pledge to live the EcoKidz principles and a certificate completes the program. This is followed by a workshop on how to track, identify and make your own spoor cast.
A delicious brunch bush picnic concludes your Family Adventure, enjoy the last moments of tranquility overlooking our indigenous Tsitsikamma forest.

The Price includes all meals, accommodation, beverages and activities as specified. Additional Drinks and other optional expenses not specified in the program description are not included and must be settled by the guest prior to departure.
Accommodation
Guests partaking in the Tenikwa Family Adventure are accommodated in the comfortable Family Suites.
There are three family suites. Suite 5 – This suite has a double bed and a single bed for parents who prefer their younger child to stay with them in the room. The room has an en-suite shower, basin and toilet. The room has an interleading door to a separate room which can accommodate one adult or child in a single bed. The second room has its own en-suite shower, basin and toilet.
The second family suite is Suite 6 which has a room with a queen bed and a single bed, and an en-suite shower, basin and toilet.
Our third delux family suite is Suite 7. It is a 2 roomed suite with a shared bathroom. The main room has a queen bed and a single bed, and the second room has two twin beds.
We also have Suite 2 which has 2 twin beds with an en-suite, and Suite 3 with a double bed and en-suite. This is suitable for families with older children or accompanying family members.
Dress code at the family suites is informal.
There are resident domestic cats, dogs, tortoises, peacocks and guinea fowl that share the grounds of the facilities. The family suites are located opposite the homestead and within very short walking distance to the Boma. It is situated close to the indigenous forest with a beautiful vista of a tranquil dam home to resident waterfowl with a backdrop of the craggy mountain foothills of the Tsitsikamma Mountain Range with Formosa Peak completing the view.
Dress Code
Parts of the activities take place over some ground which can be uneven. Guests are requested to wear comfortable clothing and sensible walking shoes and to ensure that children wear shoes at night if walking out in the gardens.
Bags, backpacks and bulky camera bags must be locked in your vehicle or stored in one of our lockable cabinets during the activities as they may not be taken with during the activities.
Please consider bringing a hat or cap along for sun protection because the sun can be quite hot during summer. A light windbreaker is also good to include, especially for the afternoon as it can get quite chilly once the sun goes down. It is recommended to bring a warm jersey or pullover when dining in the boma. Headlamps will be provided for the Forest Night Experience.
